I’ll need you when I’m fifty
Just as much as I did at fifteen
Whether times are good or bad
You are always there
We’ll be a techie 50’s generation
The knowledge gap will be narrower
Our kids can’t make fools of us
Like we so easily did to naive mum and dad
As hard as we try, we’ll still look
Confused at their humour
Exhausted with their temper
Just like our parents looked at us
We’re going to need the energy
To whine and laugh like we do
Because I’m going to need you
To sanely make it to fifty
Sweet piece 🙂

Great poem, I feel like many poems with the theme of fifty could be depressing, but I found yours surprisingly refreshing! 🙂
