Emirates Air Line

Finally, after a term of suggestions and planning, my friend and I decided to travel on the Emirates Air Line cable car (latest addition to London’s travel map). The adventure was a very fun one and a definite recommendation for anyone visiting London. Only word of advice would be to visit on a warm, clear day… luckily we had a pretty clear view and no rain but it was absolutely freezing!!!

The weather meant there wasn’t much of a crowd and we got a cable car to ourselves to be silly in and squeal when we saw exciting views, without others thinking we were mad :p … but we did wave to people in the cars moving in the opposite direction and some friendly people waved back 🙂

From the car we could see The O2, Canary Wharf, The Gherkin, The Orbital and Olympic Stadium and from the photos (when zoomed) I could see the Shard and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Unfortunately, it was not until the end of our journey that we realised that an airport runway was so close by…
